An object that is surrounded by a magnetic field and that has the property, either natural or induced, of attracting iron or steel.
A person, a place, an object, or a situation that exerts attraction.
A female child, from birth to full growth.
The use of girl to refer to a woman of any age is highly likely to be considered old-fashioned or to cause offence.
Day #7: Your favorite creature
Chewie is from New York. Not the New York Carol lives in, maybe, but thing about the multiverse, the more things change the more they stay the same. Especially in New York.
Chewie is from a universe the Witch made up. They were coming to kill her, or so her brother feared, and he told her to give them what they want. Distract them with exactly what they’ve always wanted and they’ll leave us alone. And the Witch, she can do that, so she did. And Carol woke up as Captain Marvel, the most famous, most popular, most powerful, most special, most loved superhero in the land. She also woke up with a cat.
That universe didn’t last long. People don’t really like to be given exactly what they want. Or maybe exactly what they want is too fluid a concept and a universe built on it can’t be sustained. Or maybe the Witch isn’t as powerful as she thinks she is. Whatever the reason the universe collapsed and everything reverted. Carol woke up as Carol, the former Avenger sent to rehab and anger management after a memorable awards dinner that involved an impromptu strip tease gone wrong. She had already been working her way back to Ms. Marvel and that morning she started working her way to the person she had been in the fantasyland. She refuses to accept it was just fantasy. And she still had the cat.
It could be argued Chewie doesn’t belong here. But it could also be argued that Chewie exists because she belongs to Carol. Because Carol’s greatest wish is not only to be the very best of superheroes. She also wants someone to love. Chewie belongs with Carol and this side of the multiverse is where Carol is.
