Tim and Cassie are my DC OTP and I want to celebrate their screwed up adorableness despite the weird, random, and/or problematic ways canon has been putting them together. This mix is non-specific to a verse but designed to fit into all of them (DCU, DCnU, Young Justice tv series) because this mix is about MY Tim and Cassie, who I will ship to the ends of time no matter what canon does to and with them.

  • Who cooks: Carol points to Peter. Peter grins. He’s nowhere near a chef but he’s proud of his cooking.
  • Who does the laundry and other chores: Carol points to Peter. Peter shakes his head and says they try to be very equal about the non-cooking chores. Carol raises an eyebrow and says she thought he enjoyed cooking. Peter says that’s not what he meant! He meant she does plenty of things around the house just not the cooking because she doesn’t enjoy cooking. She says if the survey considered cooking a chore it wouldn’t have had its own question. Peter frowns because he was trying to be nice and now he has no idea what they’re actually talking about.
  • How many children do they have: They answer simultaneously, Two. Peter elaborates, Ben Parker and Amelia Danvers. Carol adds, Captain Marvel and Spider-Girl. They beam. [Editors Note: Ben’s full given name is Obi-Wan and Peter sometimes calls Amelia ‘Maybell’.]
  • Who’s more dominate: Peter asks if you mean dominant? Carol points out that language is always changing and dominate could probably be considered correct. Peter says to write that down so everyone knows he’s not the only nerd in the relationship. Carol says that doesn’t answer the question. Peter says everyone knows she is. Carol says no, everyone assumes she is. Peter says he’s secure enough to acknowledge that she wears the pants. Amelia says maybe the language is changing and unitards will be considered pants soon. Peter says she wasn’t invited to this interview. Carol wonder aloud when that has ever stopped their daughter? The interviewer wonders to himself if this might be considered hazardous duty?
  • Favorite nonsexual activity: Peter says he’s not answering that in front of his daughter! Carol tells him the question was NONsexual activity. Peter says, Oh. Scrabble.
  • Their favorite place to be together: Carol says rooftops. Peter asks Carol sotto voice if they are still talking about non-sexual activity? Carol asks if it would change his answer. Peter says …Right, rooftops.
  • Any traditions: Carol says sure. Peter nods. The interviewer asks if they want to elaborate…? Amelia says rooftops are a family tradition. Peter tells her to go to her room.
  • Their “song”: They answer in unison: ‘Han Solo and the Princess’. Peter says he’s the princess.
  • What they do for each other on holidays: Carol says they do the normal things…? Peter says they make a point of spending holidays together, as a family. Carol nods.
  • Where did they go for their honeymoon: They look at each other thoughtfully. Carol asks did we go on a honeymoon? Peter says well, not officially. Amelia points out that they’re not married. Peter says they ARE married. Amelia says but not officially. Carol says not as defined by society, which is why, she clarifies to the interviewer before turning back to Peter to add, but we should go on a honeymoon. Peter says absolutely!
  • Where did they first meet: At work. They smile.
  • Any pets: Carol says they had a cat. Peter says now the kids have pets.
  • What do they fight over: Peter says, Nothing. Carol says, Everything. Amelia says, I love you guys.
  • Do they go on vacations, if so where: Carol says well, they’re going on a honeymoon. Peter says Disney World! Carol clarifies they are not going to Disney World for their honeymoon. Peter suggest Disneyland Paris? Carol says she hates Paris. Peter says their honeymoon wasn’t the question anyway. Carol asks what the question was then. Peter says where they go on family vacations. Carol says Disney World.

"It’s like Didio is taking his own personal fanfic ideas and making them canon. THIS IS WHAT SHIPPING LEADS TO, PEOPLE!"

Turhan’s Bey Company, hearing the ‘Wonder Woman & Superman are a couple now’ news (via thehappysorceress)

Okay, first of all, if I ran a comic book company you better believe I would take my own personal fanfic ideas into consideration. And so would all* of you. Second, that capslock really annoys me. “Shipping” leads to FANDOM and I am really tired of people looking down on the idea of having a personal connection to characters and character relationships. Third, this outrage (not just in this quote but all across the internets) is unreasonable. We haven’t read the story. It could be awful and everything you fear. But it could be amazing! It could be interesting. It could be something that draws me back into DC comics after being absent for going on five years. I love Lois Lane, too. But Superman hooking up with Wonder Woman for a storyline doesn’t negate her. Maybe she’ll get a chance to be someone completely on her own terms. And maybe the S/WW coupledom is a bump on the road to a Lois and Clark reunion. I understand the outrage, I do. But I think its unfair at this early stage. I was outraged by what happened to Peter Parker and Mary-Jane but you know what? I love what’s happened since. And I got a new OTP out of it. Fourth, DC is a business and all this press and chatter is exactly what their people in charge want so if you really hate them all so much maybe you should step it back.

*I don’t speak for you and I’m sure there are many of you would say of course you wouldn’t (!). I’m just saying I’m not totally convinced.
